The Rideau is a popular cottaging area, the lakes, formed in the rocky exposures of the Frontenac Axis of the Canadian Shield, provide perfect cottage "habitat". This cottage, on Opinicon Lake near Davis Lock, is one of the older cottages on the Rideau, built near the turn of the century.
