This section will list some of the sources of tourist information for the Rideau Canal. Note, some of these sources will take you off this website so please add us to your favorites lists first. The Rideau Canal Office of Parks Canada, located in Smiths Falls, operates the Rideau Canal. Upon request, they will mail you an information package about the canal. This package contains several local tourism publications, plus info about the canal (lockage permits, fees, maps, operating schedule, etc.). To receive a package, send an email directly to: RideauCanal-info@pc.gc.ca. Please be specific about what you would like to do on your Rideau visit so that the package can be tailored to your needs. Also be sure to include your full postal mailing address in your email. This is a non-commercial website that contains a huge amount of information about the Rideau Canal. It is your on-line guide for information about fees, lockage schedules, coming events, accommodations (campgrounds, hotels, B&Bs, etc.), boating, canoeing, boat rentals, marinas, driving tours, bicycling, hiking, trip planners, and much more. Most anything you want to know about the Rideau can be found on www.rideau-info.com.
